Wild vs The Hammer
Details
In the first period, a player on The Hammer was displeased with the lack of a penalty call and voiced his displeasure with the official.
In the third period, the same player again complained to the same official about a different infraction, despite the opposing player receiving a minor-penalty on the play. After continuing to complain and belittle the official, the player was issued a game misconduct and ejected from the game.
Per the ARL Rule Book, the misconduct was issued based on article 6.11:
- Uses obscene, profane or abusive language or gestures to any person.
- Persists in disputing or shows disrespect for the ruling of any official.
Result
- Player received an automatic 1-game suspension, as the misconduct occurred in the 3rd period.
- The incident was not referred to the Player Safety & Disciplinary Committee for further review.
