Hammers vs Puck Dynasty

Details

Late in the third period, a Hammers player is knocked to the ice during a scrum for the puck after a face-off. The Puck Dynasty player was protecting the puck with their body, which resulted in the Hammers player being pushed off and back. The Puck Dynasty player continues to play on. Upon returning to their feet, the Hammers player charges the Puck Dynasty and blindsides them with a high, upper-body hit. The reported point of contact was the head. Video footage shows the initial point of contact may have been the upper-chest and slid upwards. When the Puck Dynasty player falls, they hit the ice hard and their helmet hits the ice. The Hammers player is removed from the game. Shortly after their were placed on indefinite suspension, followed by a review.

Result

A Hammers player received a total count of 6 game suspensions, resulting in their removal for the season*.

* The player remains eligible to register in the future, but would be placed on zero-tolerance probation.
